More than a thousand students in India took part in a run to spread the message on energy conservation.

The 4.5 kilometre Runathon (Run-to-Save-Energy) in the city of Mumbai was hosted by Reliance Energy, the power distribution arm of Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra). It was also supported by parents of YES (Young Energy Savers) children.

YES kids, formed through an initiative by the energy firm, aim to reduce 50 million metric tons of carbon footprint by creating awareness on reducing and conserving energy.

Through the YES campaign, RInfra aims to educate 1.5 lakh students from 200 schools on how to conserve energy.
