Schneider Electric buys US green energy advisory firm

Global energy management firm Schneider Electric has snapped up a US renewable energy advisory company.
Renewable Choice Energy will join the Energy and Sustainability Services business within Schneider, which aims to boost its clean energy advisory services for power purchase agreements.
Renewable Choice, which helps businesses with their clean energy purchasing options, is said to have added more than 1GW of new wind and solar capacity to the global grid.
Since 2011, the two companies have advised clients on the purchase of more than 2GW of renewable energy.

We are seeing tremendous demand from clients to source a mix of green energy at a competitive rate.
