From solar freakin’ motorways, political scraps and a retailer with real green bottle, these are the big hitters which had you clicking in 2014.

Number five had one of our reporter’s head in her hands, while number 10 had all of us in stitches.

And we’ve got a confession – the Didcot A demolition in the picture? It didn’t make the grade. We just wanted a spectacular photo. Get in on the act and let us know what you think was the biggest story of 2014.
