Energy firms will work together to ‘protect’ the North Sea
Wind and fossil fuel energy companies from Germany and Holland have agreed to work together to protect the North Sea.
At the North Sea Energy Symposium (NSES) conference held in Rotterdam earlier this week, the companies agreed to create sustainable, affordable and reliable energy without damaging the local ecosystem.
The firms which included the Netherlands Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association, the Netherlands Wind Energy Association and Electricity transmission system operator TenneT, which operates in Germany and Holland, have all agreed to work as cleanly as possible.
The energy firms who plan to build more windfarms and extract oil and gas said they would reduce carbon emissions, create a stable electricity grid and achieve balanced energy storage.
